Lemon apartment building in Havana. Check out how much use people are getting out of those balconies.
Here comes Cuba!
I finally got my camera to upload its pictures to my computer! Don’t even ask how long it took to download and install new programs compatible with my new operating system only to have the old program suddenly start working again like it had never quit! Hours!
Here’s a wonderful Chris Turner article that articulated a big part of my experience in Cuba. You start reading and I’ll start writing and soon you’ll have something else to look at.
Love,
Dana
“To be a Canadian tourist in Cuba is to be something more than a visitor, more even than a run-of-the-mill mark. It’s not just that you’re visibly foreign and rich; you’re a sort of modern vassal, the only readily accessible emissary of a metropole that has never been seen but is generally understood to be bounteous and benevolent.”

Here’s another memorial. I saw it several times but winter must be most dramatic.

Yes, it was cold in Berlin this winter. But even more so in Prague! Coming soon!
Notoriously un-punctually yours,
